In preparation for project application of EESTech’s zero-waste reclamation and remediation services, EESTech is pleased to welcome Dr Johan Zietsman to the Company.
As one of Africa’s preeminent Professors of Metallurgical Engineering with extensive knowledge and experience in metallurgical engineering, process modelling, simulators and advanced process control systems, Dr Zietsman will benefit EESTech with the potential to maximise the yield and purity of targeted resources.
Dr Johan Zietsman has more than 20 years of experience in extractive metallurgy, both in industry and academia, as well as software engineering related to extractive metallurgy. He is founding shareholder and managing director of Ex Mente Technologies (Pty) Ltd, an extractive metallurgy consulting and systems development firm. He has an honorary appointment at the University of Pretoria, as Glencore Chair in Pyrometallurgical Modelling. His interests include pyrometallurgical and hydrometallurgical processes; thermochemistry; computational modelling; new process development; design and development of software related to information systems, process and financial modelling, advanced process control; and applied industrial research methodology. He has a Ph.D. in Metallurgical Engineering from the University of Pretoria, and has published several papers at peer reviewed conferences and in refereed journals.
